As a part of my final graduate project at SCAD, I am tasked with producing and developing a self-financed short film with two classmates, who will serve as Director and Editor.

The film follows a young woman who reluctantly returns to her hometown after failing to land a job post-grad, only to be thrown back into the chaos as a server at her high school enemies' wedding.

The genesis of this film began with a conversation regarding the coming-of-age genre in Hollywood today, which does not center on these stories of those in their twenties; instead, they prioritize teenagers transitioning into adulthood. This "dramedy" spotlights the disorientation that comes with our twenties. With a cast and crew who deeply relate to this experience, we hope to characterize this feeling for those who wrestle with the inevitable quest to learn who they are and want to be.

As the producer for Knotted, I'll be responsible for financing/budgeting, scheduling, casting, and keeping production on track overall. I'll oversee these elements while coordinating with the cast and crew to ensure a smooth shoot. Additionally, I'll problem-solve on set and help bring our vision to life within our resources. Feel free to learn more about the short film here.
