That’s What You Do

During the summer of 2024, I had the privilege of interning at Electric Owl Studios in Decatur, Georgia where I gained invaluable experience and knowledge of the filmmaking process alongside five fellow interns.
As a part of our final internship project we were tasked with developing, filming, and editing a studio-financed short film in a 2.5 week period and a $1k budget.
I wrote and directed a short film that we ultimately developed called, “That’s What You Do.” This dramatic short film tells the story of the immigrant experience, grief and breaking generational norms.
Our film was screened at the Tara Atlanta Theater and followed by a Q&A with viewers. Huge shoutout to the team who poured their hearts into this film and made it shine on the big screen.
